Floor Care · Madison, WI
Wisconsin winters push salt, sand and meltwater through your entryways from November to April. The wrong method strips the finish; no method at all grinds it down permanently.
Free floor assessment. Method matched to your surface. No long-term contract required.
Common Problems We Solve
Floors are the largest visible surface in most buildings and the most expensive to replace. These are the failures we are usually called in to stop.
What Is Included
Scoped by surface type after we see the floors. The list below is the baseline we work from.
Benefits
Maintaining a finish costs a fraction of replacing flooring that was ground down by untreated grit.
The first thing a visitor sees holds up through the worst months of the year, not just the easy ones.
Meltwater and tracked-in grit are managed at the entry points where most slips actually happen.
Planned maintenance avoids the expensive full strip-and-refinish that deferred care eventually forces.
Each floor type gets the treatment it needs, so nothing is damaged by a one-size-fits-all approach.
How It Works
We walk the building, identify every surface type and note current condition, so the plan is based on your actual floors.
Method, product and frequency written per area, including how winter changes the schedule.
Routine work runs on your normal cleaning visits, with heavier projects timed for low-disruption windows.
We inspect finish condition and traffic lanes on a set cycle and adjust frequency before wear becomes visible.
One contact who answers, and a seasonal review so winter frequency changes are planned rather than reactive.
Ideal For
Floor care matters most where footfall is heavy, surfaces are visible to customers, or the flooring itself was a significant investment.
Pricing
Floor care pricing depends on what the floors are made of, how much traffic they take and what condition they are in now. Restoring a neglected finish is a different job from maintaining a good one.
After the assessment you get a written quote tied to a written scope. Four things drive the number.
Transparent pricing. No hidden fees. No long-term contract required.
Common Questions
Routine vacuuming and mopping belong in your regular cleaning visits. Buffing, burnishing and extraction are periodic and depend on traffic. Most Madison buildings need a higher frequency from November through April because of salt and meltwater, and we build that seasonal change into the plan.
Yes. Winter salt leaves an alkaline chloride residue that ordinary mopping spreads rather than removes. It needs a neutralising product and the correct dwell time. If it has been building for several seasons it may take more than one treatment to fully clear.
It is scheduled as a separate project, usually overnight or across a weekend, and we plan it around your operating hours. Routine maintenance carries on within your normal cleaning visits and causes no disruption at all.
Yes. Carpet needs vacuuming and spot treatment routinely, plus periodic extraction. We scope both hard and soft flooring together, because a building usually has several surfaces and each needs its own method.
Maintaining a finish is substantially cheaper than replacing flooring, and the main cause of premature wear is grit tracked in and left to grind underfoot. Entry matting and traffic-lane attention do most of the work in preventing that.
